by Liz Vesecky Spring in southern Oregon can be frustrating,
beginning with unusually warm, sunny weather in March, and then
settling in for cloudy, rainy weather off and on until true spring
returns just before it gets hot. "Slow Spring Blues,"
by Liz Vesecky, was inspired by this capricious season. It is
the third piece she has written for the guitar and was premiered
by her teacher, Joseph Thompson, for the Jefferson Classical
Guitar Society, of which she is a member. You can read the score in PDF format and/or listen to a midi file of the piece. Slow Spring Blues (pdf) Slow Spring Blues (midi)
