The purpose of this page is to make available the written music of guitar composers and arrangers who have agreed to publish here. Currently these offerings are in common internet formats. For example, sound files are provided in MP3 format, and scores are provided as PDF files. You will need Adobe Acrobat in order to open the PDF files. You can find a free version of the Acrobat Reader by clicking the "Get Adobe Reader" icon below. Note:
The pages for the composers below contain some large files. Depending
on your browser and plug-in settings, the sound files on these
pages may load when the pages load. Some pages contain multiple
sound files that are over 1MB large, so those with low-bandwidth
connections should configure their browsers to avoid this. José Antonio (Ñico) Rojas Beoto On November 4, 2003, we were contacted by Cuban guitarist Ñico Rojas, who offered us two pieces to share within the society. Later discussions with this charming, 82-year-old gentleman led to an agreement where we would publish these pieces on our website, so we are proud to present them here! Craig Einhorn Craig Einhorn is a guitarist working out of Eugene, Oregon. This piece is Craig's composition, "Romanza del Desierto". He played this piece for guitarist/composer, Jose Luis Merlin in the JCGS sponsored master class by Señor Merlin on November 4, 2007. You can check out Craig's website at: http://www.efn.org/~einhorn/ Dave
Rogers Dave Rogers was a long
time resident of Ashland, Oregon, before moving to Eugene to
complete work on his Masters Degree in Musicology at the University
of Oregon. He now makes his home in Eugene. His Masters thesis
was on the life and music of the great Irish harper/composer,
Turlough O'Carolan. Here, Dave offers us two of his arrangements
for classical guitar. |
